Prison Break

The main passage we will be learning from this week will be Acts 16. Try asking yourself the question "who is really being held captive?" while reading this chapter.

Pastor Jason, Misty, and QC (Quenn Crew),
I wish I had discovered this awesome blog spot sooner! The services on Sunday nights, have been my kiss from God, and meeting various needs...spiritual: growth and challenge, and emotional: by motivating me to be consistant(weak flesh!!) with something at church! The first night you started this new series, a lady came up to me afterwards, prophesying things about me, including a healing through "word of knowledge", that only God would have known about, and made so personal. That was just the beginning of the blessings that have flowed from these Sun. eve. meetings. "Every good and perfect gift comes from above, and comes down from the Father of lights....." James 1:17. The blessings have flowed every week! The first Sun. eve. of these God ordained services, the worship was so strong, I had to go down on my knees, which rarely hits me in such a manner.
Pastor Jason, your use of many scriptures is "feeding" because though saved and filled with the Spirit near 30 years, I can "hear" the same Bible verse 500 times, and then finally, the "Rhema" light bulb goes on! I learned from the message in lesson 2, that my "dream" , had become my "idol" in lesson 3. Once I laid down my "idol" "dream" at the end of the lesson on shattered dreams, I felt so free! I no longer have had that "need". Yes, I am "freed" from the "need" to have that dream fulfilled. I don't always like how there is a convicting moment in every service, but oh boy is it needed!Last Sun.,when you sahred from Luke , I had read the book of Luke a hundred times, and never had seen that Jesus performed the miracle of the nets full of fish being performed, in the beginning of Peter's life, and then again, at the end also, before Jesus left him for heaven. Thank you for pointing us to Peter as our example that nothing is too difficult for God to fix. Failure is inevitable, but it doesn't always show up for lazy people like me.People who have had great falls, are people who have at least TRIED!! As Joyce Meyer would say, "you can't walk on water until you get out of the boat". I am way too often, a "stay in the boat" person, so I found last week's message challenging, (in a good motivational way)! I am looking forward to this Sun. and "breaking loose"!!

Blessings,
Melanie
